Crimson, Oxblood, Wine Lips

Hello, I am sure you have heard and seen, red lips are big for Fall.  Red is the universal lip color of class and glamour for women around the globe.

Whether it is in the form of a gloss, glaze, stain, or lipstick, I am head over heels over red lips in any season.

  1. I love the look of vampy lips but I haven't got the courage to go quite all the way yet! I love seeing that picture of Marilyn - she's the classic red lipstick icon in my eyes. Lovely post Rola. It feels like the world is telling me to get the red lippy out! :)

    1. Hi, Lena, I find Revlon Romantic to be very wearble. It is not too dark and it is not in-your-face kind of red, not too cool or too warm. It can be worn sheer or build up for intensity. I like to wear lip balm underneath it for more moisture. I think it will look pretty on you, we have very similar skin tone:)

  3. Crimson colored lips are definitely a hot fall beauty look. I haven't gone the way of red lips in awhile but it may be time to explore that look again :)

    Happy weekend Rola!

  4. Love the second last picture - the dark red lip with the flawless canvas and bare eyes. I've not tried any Aveda products but the gloss looks really pretty!

    1. Hi, Teodora, It is very subjective. It depends on the individual's style, skin tone, comfort level, etc...For me with light skin tone, I choose colors that are not too dark because too dark looks extreme and harsh for my look. I visited your blog, I think you look nice with red lips:)

  9. Karlie Kloss is just stunning in that photo! I love red lips but for some reason can't seem to pull them off very well. I probably just haven't found the right shade for myself. Fingers crossed! ;)

  15. I don't wear red lips, but I want to try the three reds I got for my Halloween makeup. I'll have to soften them up with gloss though, probably, to be comfortable.
